Liturgical Dance

Students will learn historical significance of Liturgical Dance. They will be able to apply their creative expression to contemporary movement.

Musical Theater

Students will learn how to communicate a story and its emotional content through a form of theater combining song and dance

Choreography

Students will learn sequences of movements to various musical phrases

Tap

Students will utilize syncopation creating a very lively rhythm that focus on the musicality of the movement.

Hip-Hop

Students will learn the fundamentals of hip-hop through rhythm, coordination, and musicality. Energetic movements will instill rhythm and precision in the student’s muscle memory.

African Dance

Students will learn the social and historical significance of African Dancing. They will be able to separate areas of movement, with each area being able to move to different rhythms within the music.

Modern Dance

Class Description Modern dance explores movement, space, and rhythm that emphasize flexibility, balance, correct posture, and body placement. Students will develop strength and control of their movements. This class is for students 8 years or older.

Jazz Technique

Class Description Classical jazz style emphasizes strong and proper technique through flexibility, placement, and strength exercises. It is a fun filled class that will enhance student’s jumps, turns, and stage performance.

Ballet Technique

Class Description Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet technique that emphasize flexibility, balance, correct posture, and body placement achieved through barre and center floor work. They will develop strength and control of their movements.

Creative Movement

Students ages 3-4  will develop their gross motor skills, stimulate imagination, and promote creativity while exploring the connection between movement and music.
