Aliyah Caldwell began her training at the Ava Fields Dance Ministry in Baltimore, MD. She was then introduced to ballet at the TWIGS Program at the Baltimore School for the Arts. She graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2012. She is a graduate of Towson University earning her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography minoring in Business Administration.
Aliyah has studied with Norma Pera, Anton Wilson, Arthur Mitchell, Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Vincent Thomas, Alonzo King, Earl Mosley, Christian Von Howard, Runqaio Du, Catherine Horta-Hayden, Alia Kache-Blackwell, Stephen Mills, and Felicia Cruz. She has attended summer intensives such as Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts.
She has performed with many ballet and modern companies such as BalaSole Dance Company, DanceIquail, and Ballet Nouveau. She has performed the Broadway musical “SWING” with Norwegian Cruise Line and is currently in the cast of “HAIRSPRAY” with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
She has taught in many schools and studios across the Baltimore area such as AileyCamp Baltimore, Ballet Nouveau School, ConneXions: Community Based Arts School, Dance Happens Inc.& RaynFall/Muse 360. She has choreographed pieces for Annapolis High School Dance Company and William Penn Fine Arts Academy Dance Company.
